DCS Global’s CLEAN + SAFE Janitorial System Earns GBAC STAR Registered Program Designation

ROSEMONT, Ill.September 22, 2022—The Global Biorisk Advisory Council™ (GBAC), a Division of ISSA, today announced that DCS Global’s CLEAN + SAFE© Janitorial System has achieved the GBAC STAR™ Registered Program designation. The system has been assessed by the GBAC Advisory Council Scientific Board for scientific validity, usability, practicality, safety, and efficacy.

DCS developed CLEAN + SAFE to help facility managers monitor and maintain high standards of cleaning for health for the well-being of occupants. The DCS compliance program offers tangible, numeric, science-based evidence that a facility is clean and safe. It provides benchmarking for continuous improvement and comparisons across portfolios of buildings and different cleaning contractors, and ongoing compliance monitoring and scoring.

“We are pleased to earn GBAC STAR Registered Program designation,” said DCS Global CEO Randy Burke. “The designation validates our system’s efficacy and demonstrates our commitment to helping businesses clean for health to protect building occupants, visitors, and guests.”

Before implementing CLEAN + SAFE, DCS works with facility managers to assess the state of cleaning in their buildings, including issues and opportunities based on low occupancy levels. The program is customized at a facility level, is low cost, and easy to implement.

DCS has conducted compliance audits in over 600 buildings in the past 12 months. DCS is also uniquely positioned to help facilities achieve GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation for their buildings and empower them to operate their facilities in a clean, safe, and healthy way that increases customer confidence.

“Proper auditing and inspections are a critical element of maintaining a clean and safe environment,” said GBAC Executive Director Patricia Olinger. “Third-party programs like the CLEAN + SAFE system are key to continuous improvement when cleaning for health. As the world adjusts to new viruses and outbreaks, these kinds of systems offer the public greater peace of mind.”
